This course will help participants use as a brainstorming tool, concept mapper, and presentation tool. Participants will learn how to organize information in a non-linear and graphical manner, then link the concepts together for presentations. This class does expect participants to have some familiarity with using computers and web 2.0 tools.

At times you may be asked to capture a screen of an activity. While there are commercial software programs to do this, both Macs and PCs have built in screen captures.
Windows XP
Control--PrntScrn to capture just the entire screen to the clipboard.
Control--Alt--PrntScrn to capture just the active window to the clipboard.
Then paste it in a program of your choice (like Paint) to save as a JPG or PNG picture.
Windows 7
Use the Snipping Tool and save it as a JPG or PNG file.
Shift--Command--3 to capture the screen to a picture file on the desktop.
Shift--Command--4 to capture the a selection to a picture file on the desktop.
Shift--Control--Command--3 to capture the screen to the clipboard.
Shift--Control--Command--4 to capture a selection to the clipboard.
Then paste it in a program of your choice.
Also, if you have an interactive whiteboard (Promethean, Smart, etc.), screen capture tools are available via their software. Save it as a JPG or PNG file.
